Life can be a lot of work. Sometimes there is just so much going on, we feel overwhelmed and that we can't cope. Admitting this can be difficult, for fear of judgement or worrying those around us. We may question whether we are overreacting to our burdens. Well-meaning friends might encourage us to look on the bright side; those less sensitive tell us to pull ourselves together. Unfortunately, these suggestions usually make us feel worse.

Therapy offers a safe, confidential space in which to speak your mind without fear of judgement or evaluation. Fundamentally, therapy is talking with another human who is interested in listening empathically. Clients who come to therapy for the first time are frequently impressed by the relief they experience through simply being heard.
Once issues have been identified, the therapist can support the client in navigating difficulties and adjusting thinking and behaviour to overcome barriers to enjoying a happy life: which everyone deserves.
